Day 23

Today we checked out of our apartment style suite where we have been for 3 days and headed towards Kamloops, the only problem was that we didn’t realise that it was as far as it was, so we thought that we would try and get at least two thirds of the way and find a town we can settle down for the night. The drive took us into British Columbia and the scenery changed again, more twists and turns which was a nice change. as we left quite late it wasn’t long before it was time to stop for lunch which ended up in Golden a small railway town, we found a really nice bar/restaurant by the river and had lunch and a walk around town afterwards.
We finally settled on Revelstoke which sounded quite nice and we found a really nice hotel in the centre of town. The only problem was that as soon as we turned up it started to rain and pretty much stayed like that all night, we did get a small break when we went to the town centre to see some live music, they play in the centre every night in july and August and tonight was a Johnny Cash sound/look alike, he was actually pretty good but we only stopped for a few songs. We had dinner in the hotels restaurant which was probably the nicest meal we have had so far, it was not your usual burgers and fries, in fact there was no fries on the menu.
Then me and Ken decided we were going to play a few games of pool in the hotels bar, we ended up 1 a piece but got into a couple of games with a couple and lost both games. Tomorrow we are going to Kamloops which is only about 200km away, we are hoping the weather improves, it really getting us down now.
